Lemon Battery Experiment

Today at technology i wanted to find out how a battery works.We used lemons,peaches,cucumber,vinegar and inserted zinc nails and a piece of copper.Three lemons makes a LED light up.

Art

In class we took a picture of our self and then cut in half,then had to draw the other side of your face.we practised drawing the nose eyes mouth when we were done we had to colour  the background. this is my Art work.

House Chant

In class we all had to make a House Chant to do in events like Swimming Sports.Each group had to come up with a chant that was catchy,rhymes,makes sense and positive.

Swimming Sports

On Thursday the 11 of February, the whole of Shepard house went to the village pools to see who could get into the championship.I swam one length of freestyle and one length of breast stroke I came first in freestyle and third in breaststroke.Then I decided to get out and get dressed.I watched them do the  relay and have their free swim while me and my friends ate lunch and then everyone got out and got dressed.

Technology

Today was my first day at Technology @ HNI we looked at the get ready website and i learned:
1.Create a Household plan ready for a disaster
2. Have an emergency kit
3. Have a getaway kit
in our emergency kit we should have:

•  Torch with spare batteries,
•  Radio with spare batteries 

at Electronics I am going to design and make an Emergency light that is powered by a battery that I can use in my bedroom if such an event occurs
