Researching tips and flag referendum

In class we have been looking at the flag referendum and doing some research about it so we watched some videos to get some Google tips in how to research here they are.

Lily Google Tips

  • Put “” (quotation marks) for an exact quote.
  • If you are searching something and you don't want something to show up put a -(dash) to stop it it from coming up.
  • Press the button with the *asterisk on it if you don't know what some of the words are for songs or quotes and it will come up.
  • Copy URL from one of your images and paste it on to google  search and on the first page it will come up with similar images.
  • If you click i'm feeling lucky it will automatically put you on to the first website from  the options of websites.
  • ~ If you put this symbol in front of a word it will come up with synonyms.
  • To search for a particular website do the name then :URL .
  • To find a related website to what you have write related :URL.

  • + To include all the words you search.

Once we had gathered the tips we thought of three questions about the flag referendum and had to research them and using three websites
HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

How does the voting process work?

you should get your first voting card on Friday the 27th November, the first vote isn't voting for you to change the flag it is you voting for which five options you would like as our flag,
people who are blind and can't tick the voting paper will get a phone call and cast a secret vote not telling there name so know one knows who voted,
the final referendum on the new Zealand flags will be held on from Thursday the 3rd
march to Thursday, the final result will be declared on the 30th of march after
all votes are received in time have been processed.

why dose john key and the national party choose to change the flag?

My opinion:

i think we should keep this flag

because it represents our country with the southern stars and the blue background as the sea,
and we don't need to spend 26 million dollars on a flag when half the referendum wants to keep the flag and the other half doesn't.
